Laser cleaning explained

Questions about your surface?

Every project is different. These answers cover the essentials, and we can review photos to confirm the right approach for yours.

Ask about your project
How does laser cleaning work?+

Laser cleaning directs controlled pulses of light at a surface. Rust, paint, oxidation, grease, and other unwanted layers absorb the energy and are lifted or vaporized, while properly selected settings help preserve the material underneath.

Is laser cleaning safe for all materials?+

No single cleaning process is right for every material. Laser cleaning works especially well on many metals and selected coated or contaminated surfaces, but material type, thickness, finish, and condition all matter. We evaluate the project and can perform a small test area before full treatment.

What laser cleaning services do you provide?+

We provide mobile rust removal, golf cart rust removal, yacht and marine cleaning, industrial equipment cleaning, paint and coating removal, graffiti removal, surface preparation, stainless steel restoration, and grease and oil removal.

Will laser cleaning damage or thin the metal?+

When the equipment is correctly matched and calibrated for the substrate, laser cleaning can remove surface contamination without the aggressive abrasion associated with grinding or blasting. We adjust the power, pulse, speed, and number of passes for each project.

Do you provide mobile service?+

Yes. We bring the laser-cleaning equipment to docks, marinas, shops, commercial properties, industrial facilities, restoration sites, and other accessible locations throughout our South Florida service area.

Does laser cleaning create dust or chemical waste?+

Laser cleaning does not use acids, solvents, sand, or blasting media. It generally creates much less secondary waste than abrasive cleaning, although appropriate extraction and site controls may still be used depending on the coating or contamination being removed.

How much does laser cleaning cost?+

Pricing depends on the material, surface area, contamination, access, desired finish, and time required. Send clear photos and basic project details so we can determine whether laser cleaning is suitable and provide an estimate.

How long does a project take?+

Small components may be completed in a single visit, while larger equipment or heavily coated surfaces may require more time. After reviewing the surface and project scope, we will provide a realistic schedule.

How should I prepare for mobile laser cleaning?+

Provide clear access to the work area and remove loose personal items when possible. We will discuss ventilation, power, nearby sensitive surfaces, and any site-specific safety requirements before the appointment.
